The Code2Career program
From your first line of code to full-stack development — fully online.
Code2Career is a 12-month full-stack web development program for career changers, followed by an optional, strongly recommended 6-month internship. Classes are live, in small groups, and remote. Tuition is €4000. The next cohort starts at the end of September 2026.
The program is taught by software engineer and founder Anna S. Atalay. The goal is not to memorise syntax. It is to become a developer who can plan an idea, build it, and ship a working product.
You don’t need a computer-science degree to start. Your English doesn’t need to be perfect either. You do need to make room in your life for regular practice beyond the weekly live class.

Curriculum
From your first line of code to real software experience.
The full-stack path stays in the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem, so you don’t have to learn a separate language for frontend and backend.
Months 1–2
Web development foundations
Learn HTML, CSS, and essential web technologies. Build responsive websites while becoming familiar with Git, GitHub, accessibility, and AI-assisted development tools.
Months 3–6
JavaScript and problem-solving
Build interactive applications with JavaScript. Strengthen your programming skills and work with APIs, TypeScript, and modern software development tools.
Months 7–11
Modern full-stack development
Build real full-stack web applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js. Gain experience in frontend and backend development, databases, authentication, testing, deployment, and cloud technologies.
Month 12
Career and job-search preparation
Prepare your portfolio and professional profile. Get ready for technical interviews, software developer roles, and international job applications with personal mentorship.
Optional months 13–18
Internship and mentorship
Gain professional software development experience through real projects. Complete your internship with Code2Career or a company of your choice while practising teamwork, Agile development, and code review.
The program is 12 months of training, followed by a strongly recommended, optional six-month internship and mentorship. I go into more detail in the webinar.
How we teach
Not a video library. A process we actually walk with you.
Thousands of resources already explain HTML, JavaScript, React, or Node.js. The difference isn’t the topic list. It’s that we stay with you and make sure you apply what you learn.
An instructor who works in the industry
Anna teaches the classes while working as a software engineer. Software changes quickly, so the person teaching needs to know both the theory and how teams actually work in companies today.
Live, small groups
Classes run one evening a week, live, in small groups. We hear your questions, see where you get stuck, and adjust. If you miss a session, recordings are available.
Homework, code review, Slack
After class you practise and complete homework during the week. You can ask questions on Slack. Your code is reviewed, you revise it, and you send it again. Handing homework in is not the end of the loop.

From English teacher to FinTech
We were the first people she called after signing the contract.
Gülçin used to be an English teacher. Today she works at a FinTech startup in Stockholm, and she’s genuinely happy with the role and what it offers. Moments after signing her contract, she called us, excited, and said, “You’re the first people I’m telling that I got this job.” That moment was as unforgettable for us as it was for her. A new country, a small child, a new beginning
She rebuilt her life while finishing the program in Germany.
When Büşra moved to Germany for her husband’s work, she was at home with their young child. Documents from our education company in Sweden, confirming her enrolment, helped her get full-time childcare at a nursery in Germany. She finished the training and internship, and improved her English and German along the way. Today she works at a technology company in Germany. When the nursery accepted the paperwork, and again when she told us she had a job, we were so happy. In both moments, we had been able to support a mother. After we sent her gifts, she said she felt embarrassed. If anything, it wasn’t nearly enough. A mother’s happiness and success are an immeasurable source of pride for us.

A long pause and a strong return
Sometimes moving forward also means knowing when to pause.
Onur became a father near the end of the program and paused his training to be with his newborn. Health problems then delayed his return a little further. As a family who has lived ups and downs like these, we understand circumstances beyond your control, and we want you to know we’ll always support you without expecting anything in return. That’s exactly how it went for Onur. When he felt ready, he started again and finished his internship with outstanding work. This year he founded his own company and builds software. Through our network we passed him a project worth around €10,000, and we’re still enjoying the wonderful feedback the client gave on the app he built. We don’t expect a euro from it. Near-perfect work and a client’s thanks mean more to us than money. We thank him—and one more thing worth saying: Onur invoices from Turkey to clients abroad and brings hard currency into the country. On what he earns, he pays neither VAT nor income tax.

From a slow start to working beside us
A slow start didn’t decide her future.
Sahra joined us while studying a university subject that wasn’t for her. At first she didn’t make the progress she’d hoped for. Over time she changed how she worked, found her rhythm, and delivered a complete project from start to finish in her internship. She earned her place by meeting Zafer’s bar for fast, excellent results—at a level beyond her age and experience. Today we work alongside her and take joy in watching her grow every day. She visited us at our home in Gothenburg and told us her dreams for the future. Helping her get there, and watching her build that future, is one of the things we love most. What is Code2Career, and how long is the program?
Code2Career is a fully online full-stack software program for career changers. The first 12 months are training and project work. An optional, strongly recommended 6-month internship follows; you can complete it with Code2Career or another suitable company. The provider is Code2Career AB, registered in Sweden.
Is it fully online, and how do classes work?
Yes. The program is fully remote. You join a live small-group class one evening a week; sessions are recorded. During the rest of the week you do homework, receive code review, and ask questions on Slack. Attending the live class alone is not enough. Real learning happens when you practise.
Who is this path for — and who is it not for?
It’s for people with little or no coding experience who are curious, work consistently, and keep going when it gets hard. It’s not for people who expect a high-paying job in three months, who won’t put in work outside the live class, who avoid mistakes and feedback, or who think a certificate alone makes someone a developer. We’re not trying to enrol everyone. We want people ready to do the work.
How much time do I need each week?
We recommend a rhythm of about five days a week, with at least three 45-minute sessions a day. Someone with more technical background or stronger English may move faster; a complete beginner who is also improving their English may need more time. Having a job or a child is not a barrier. The barrier is not having a realistic plan for where this workload fits.
Can age, a missing degree, or English hold me back?
Changing careers in your 30s or 40s is not too late. A computer-science degree is not required; Anna entered the field without one. If you don’t have a degree, your projects, GitHub, and problem-solving matter more. Your English does not need to be perfect to start, but you can’t avoid English if you want to work as a developer. Teaching starts in Turkish; technical terms are in English from day one.
Does finishing the program guarantee a job?
No. Getting a job depends on your work, English, projects, communication, country, work permit, and market conditions. No course controls all of that. Our aim is to move you from scattered tutorials to someone with full-stack projects, code review, GitHub, and — where possible — internship experience. You can use those skills in a company job, freelance work, or your own product.
How much does it cost, and when do I pay?
Current tuition is €4000, paid in four instalments of €1000, three months apart. The first payment is due only after you attend the first class, see how the system works, and decide to continue. We’ll work together for a long time, so we want you to decide from experience, not from a pitch.
When does the next cohort start?
The next program starts at the end of September 2026. There are about 3–4 starts a year, announced a few months ahead. We haven’t published an exact date yet. Watch the webinar and get in touch for the current cohort.
What should I do after the webinar?
You don’t need a sales call to watch the webinar; you can watch in your own time. If you still want to learn software and accept that it takes serious work, get in touch. We’ll look at your goals, English, and available time together. If it’s a fit, you come to the first class, get the first assignment, and only then decide whether to continue.
